Exit Poll 2025 Delhi Election: The high-stakes battle for the Delhi Assembly Election 2025 concluded on Wednesday, with exit polls projecting a significant shift in the political landscape of the national capital. Most pollsters have given the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) an edge over the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), signalling a potential end to the BJP’s 27-year drought in Delhi. Meanwhile, the Congress is expected to remain on the margins, failing to make any gains. The final results will be declared on February 8 by the Election Commission.
The Delhi Assembly Elections, conducted on Wednesday, saw a voter turnout of nearly 58 per cent till 5 pm, with expectations that the final count may touch 60 per cent. This is lower than the 62.82 per cent turnout recorded in Delhi in the 2020 Assembly Elections. The 11-hour voting remained largely peaceful while some sporadic complaints of bogus voting and model code violation continued to be made throughout the day.
Delhi Exit Poll Results 2025:
Exit polls are projections made by election survey agencies based on interviews of voters as they come out after casting their votes. While these projections may differ from the outcome, they provide a glimpse into the possible direction of Delhi’s political future.
At least eight Exit Polls on Wednesday predicted a victory for the BJP over the ruling AAP in the Delhi assembly polls, while the Congress was projected to make no significant gains from the last elections. Two exit polls, however, predicted a victory for AAP, and as many showed a close contest between them, with an edge for the BJP.

Shift In Delhi’s Political Dynamics
The Delhi Assembly, comprising 70 seats, requires a majority of 36 seats to form the government. The AAP, which currently holds 62 seats, is facing a tough challenge from the BJP, which has only eight MLAs in the outgoing assembly. The Congress, which has no representation in the current assembly, appears to be struggling to regain its foothold in the capital.
The 2025 elections saw a triangular contest between the AAP, BJP, and Congress. The AAP was aiming for a fourth consecutive term, while the BJP sought to make a comeback after its last victory in 1998. The Congress, once a dominant force in Delhi, continues to grapple with its declining influence. If the Exit Polls hold true, the BJP’s potential victory would mark a significant turning point in Delhi’s electoral history.
