Delhi Fire Today: A massive fire breaks out at a shop in Old Delhi’s busy Sadar Bazar area on Saturday afternoon, prompting an immediate response from the Delhi Fire Service. Authorities said the blaze began around 3:45 PM and 25 fire tenders were deployed to the scene to bring it under control.
According to officials, the fire erupted on the first floor of a three-storey building located on the main road, raising concerns due to the densely packed market area. Deputy Chief Fire Officer Sanjay Tomar stated that the call was received at 3:49 PM and due to the presence of many surrounding shops, the fire category was escalated. He added that one firefighter sustained serious injuries during the operation and was immediately shifted for treatment. No other injuries or trapped individuals have been reported so far.

Paramjeet Singh Pamma, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Sadar Bazar Traders Association, said that the timely response of fire and police teams prevented a bigger disaster. “The fire broke out during the day, which helped in managing the situation. If it had happened at night, the losses could have been huge,” he said.

He also mentioned that no reports of people being trapped have surfaced yet and the cause of the fire will be confirmed after an official investigation by the administration.
