Delhi News: A five-year-old boy was brutally beaten to death by his fellow inmates at a madrasa in Delhi's Dayalpur area. The boy, whose identity has not been revealed, succumbed to his injuries on Friday evening after being taken to a private hospital in Brijpuri. According to the Delhi Police, the child died under mysterious circumstances, with several injuries found on his body, including blisters on the neck, abdomen and groin area.
"At 6.30 PM on Friday, the boy's mother was informed that her son was sick. She took him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead," the Delhi Police was quoted as saying by PTI.
Following the incident, the police have apprehended three suspects, all of whom are students at the madrasa, aged between 9 and 11 years. The police received a call about the boy's death at the Brijpuri madrasa at 9.52 PM on Friday.
The autopsy of the victim's body revealed horrifying details, with the child having suffered multiple internal lacerations, bleeding in the abdomen and right lung, and a ruptured liver. Investigators believe the boy was beaten to death by the callous minors, allegedly for a holiday from the madrasa.
"More investigation revealed that he was beaten by other inmates, who were apprehended," a Delhi Police official said, adding that CCTV footage had confirmed the findings.
According to the statement of one of the accused, the deceased had abused them, leading to a fight. Another suspect confessed that they beat him, thinking his death would result in a declaration of a holiday from the madrasa.

The victim's mother, who works as a domestic help in west Delhi's Punjabi Bagh area, informed the authorities that her son had been studying at the madrasa, where around 250 boys study, for the past five months. The boy is survived by his parents, his 10-year-old brother and his eight-year-old sister.
Haji Din Mohammad, the principal of the madrasa, has been cooperating with the police investigation. The authorities have revealed that around 150 boys at the madrasa are from outside Delhi, primarily from Uttar Pradesh.
