Delhi Airport Bomb Threat: Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport received a bomb threat email on Sunday, triggering a security alert and investigation. The incident comes after similar threats were reported at schools and other institutions in the capital.
According to Delhi Police, teams were immediately deployed to verify the claims. The matter is under investigation, officials said. News agency ANI reported that several institutions, including schools, had received such emails on the same day.
Earlier in the morning, two schools were targeted with bomb threats that later turned out to be hoaxes. Authorities confirmed that CRPF Public School in Dwarka and a Sarvodaya Vidyalaya near Qutub Minar had received the emails.
Officials from the Delhi Fire Services said, “Police teams, fire personnel, and bomb disposal units were promptly deployed to the affected schools to carry out a search operation properly. However, nothing suspicious was found.”
