Delhi Trade Fair 2024: The 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF) has commenced at the Bharat Mandapam Complex in New Delhi, running until November 27. This annual event serves as a significant platform for small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), non-governmental organisations, artisans and self-help groups to exhibit their products and services, reaching both the public and business communities.
This year’s theme, “Viksit Bharat @2047,” underscores India’s aspirations for growth and development as the nation approaches the centenary of its independence. The fair aims to encourage innovation, entrepreneurship and cooperation as India works towards becoming more developed and self-reliant.
According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the IITF celebrates India’s rich cultural diversity and showcases its trade and innovation on a global stage. The event facilitates business partnerships and collaboration among participants.
At the opening ceremony, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal announced plans to transform the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) into a world-class agency that presents India's industry and value chain cohesively. This transformation aims to elevate India's profile in global trade.
Visitors to IITF 2024 can expect a broad array of exhibits from both Indian and international companies, ensuring there is something of interest for everyone.

India International Trade Fair (IITF) Venue Details
The fair is located at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. The nearest metro station is Supreme Court Metro Station, with access through Gates 3 and 4 on Bhairon Marg and Gates 6 and 10 on Mathura Road. The event will be open daily from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM, allowing ample time for visitors to explore the extensive range of exhibits.
Minister Goyal praised the fair's theme, reflecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for a prosperous, self-reliant India by 2047. He also stated the promotion of digital transactions at trade events and announced plans for kiosks to facilitate these transactions.

This year's IITF covers an impressive area of 107,000 square metres, featuring over 3,500 exhibitors from India and abroad. Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are designated as Partner States, while Jharkhand is the Focus State, showcasing their cultural heritage and trade potential.
Participants include representatives from 33 states and union territories, 49 central ministries and major private companies like Titan, Jindal Steel & Power and Hawkins. International exhibitors from countries such as China, Egypt, Iran, South Korea and the UAE contribute to making IITF one of South Asia’s largest trade events, fostering both business-to-business and business-to-consumer interactions.
