In Delhi's Tilak Nagar, a social media influencer was brutally assaulted by a group over a disagreement tied to an internet post. The violent attack, which took place in West Delhi, was captured on camera and widely circulated across various social media platforms, sparking concern and outrage.

In one of the widely shared videos, a man later identified as Deepak Sharma can be seen lying on the road while being beaten by multiple individuals. "The attackers have been identified as Pradeep Dhaka and his friends," confirmed Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), Vichitra Veer, in a statement to news agency PTI.

The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and efforts are underway to track down and apprehend those involved. “A case under appropriate sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) was registered, and a team has been formed to trace and apprehend the assailants," Veer added.

According to officials, both Sharma and Dhaka are known social media influencers who had attended a common gathering at Mall Road in the Tilak Nagar area. It was there that tensions escalated. “A dispute reportedly arose between them over certain social media posts," the officer noted.
