In a significant development in the Kailash Hills murder case, police officials on Saturday launched a special investigation by visiting the crime location and recreating the scene, along with the accused, Rahul Meena.

The police team had the accused recount the entire incident to try to piece together the truth behind the brutal crime. The accused, Rahul Meena, recreated the crime scene, and several pieces of evidence related to the crime were recovered from the scene. 

Around 9:30 am, the police brought the accused to the victim's home and recreated the entire crime scene. A forensic team was also present along with the Delhi Police team.

Based on the accused's identification, the police reconstructed every aspect of the incident. For example, how the accused entered the house and opened the main gate.

According to the officials, two phones related to the crime have been recovered at the behest of the accused, Rahul Meena. One of these is the victim's iPhone. The other is the stolen mobile phone he was using while on the run after the crime. 

During the scene recreation, the accused was questioned to understand how the crime was committed, his movements at the time of the incident, and how he attempted to escape from the scene. Strict security arrangements were in place during the scene.

IRS Officer’s Daughter Murder Case

The accused, a former employee of the victim’s family, entered the residence in Delhi’s Kailash Hills, using hidden keys and allegedly raped the 22-year-old IIT graduate. He then allegedly dragged the victim down from the fourth floor to the third floor in an unsuccessful attempt to unlock a fingerprint-access locker, investigators said on Thursday.

According to the postmortem report, the 22-year-old daughter of an IRS officer died due to strangulation. As per the officials, the body had multiple external injuries, including abrasions and contusions on both arms, hands, and legs, along with multiple lacerations and abrasions on the face and a fracture of the nasal bone. 

"The deceased died of strangulation following assault," a senior official said.

The accused reportedly stole around Rs 1.5-2 lakh in cash and jewellery worth around Rs 10 lakh in a black backpack he found in the house and left.
