New Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Express: A large number of passengers dislike the food that is served aboard trains. They believe that the food served on trains is not always hygienic and entirely vegetarian. Passengers think that vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is not prepared separately and that sufficient cleanliness is not maintained throughout food preparation.
Train travel is a unique experience in and of itself, and the food selections make the trip even more memorable. However, it can occasionally be challenging to locate decent vegetarian cuisine on the train. However, there is a train that serves its passengers just vegetarian fare.
The Vande Bharat Express solely offers vegetarian food on its journey from Delhi to Katra in Jammu and Kashmir. It is the first train in India to serve completely vegetarian food.
As India's first all-vegetarian train, the Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Express is notable for serving only vegetarian food to its passengers. Additionally, passengers are not allowed to bring non-vegetarian snacks or food on board in order to preserve a totally vegetarian atmosphere.
Passengers on this long journey are only offered vegetarian meals, as meat and eggs are not on the menu. Moreover, the kitchens used for meal preparation will only employ vegetarian ingredients, and the waiters will not serve any non-vegetarian cuisine.
The Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Express is the first of its kind to receive a Sattvik certificate as part of an agreement between the Indian railways body IRCTC and the non-governmental organisation Sattvic Council of India. It is a semi-high-speed train that travels from New Delhi (NDLS) to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (SVDK).
