A man was shot and injured in Delhi's Kalyanpuri on Wednesday night. The victim, identified as Ravi, is a bodybuilder and was shot due to a long-standing family feud spanning 10 to 15 years.
The police have arrested two suspects linked to the matter. Reportedly, the accused fled the spot after opening fire and Ravi was admitted to Max Hospital in Patparganj, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
"A man was shot last night in the Kalyanpuri area of Delhi and is currently hospitalised. Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident," ANI quoted a Delhi Police official as saying.
Notably, the person accused of the attack is a resident of Trilokpuri. Also, several criminal cases including assault are registered against the injured.
Meanwhile, in another separate incident that took place on December 7, a 52-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified assailants while returning from his morning walk in Farsh Bazar.
Confirming his death, Shahdara Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Prashant Gautam said that they had received a PCR call regarding the firing.
"At 8:36 AM, we received a PCR call that two boys on a bike shot a man and fled. On the spot, the police found that a person named Sunil Jain was shot," the DCP said.
"He was shot 3-4 times. Sunil Jain has died. He owned a crockery shop and was 52 years old. The family is denying any kind of threat," he added.
Bihar Driver Shot In Stomach, Continues To Drive
In a different incident that took place earlier this week in Bihar, a jeep driver in Bhojpur district continued to drive 15 passengers after being shot in the stomach. The incident took place when the jeep driver, identified as Santosh Singh, was returning from a "Tilak" ceremony with the passengers.
