Delhi Metro Cargo Service: Manohar Lal Khattar, Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, proposed the incorporation of cargo compartments in the Delhi Metro to boost urban business efficiency. Speaking at the 31st Foundation Day of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation at Bharat Mandapam, the union minister said that adding separate compartments in Delhi Metro will enable small businessmen, vendors, and hawkers to seamlessly transport their goods across the city.
The step will alleviate the goods transport struggle and save time, decrease energy consumption, and enhance business efficiency for the urban working class. Khattar added that the Delhi Metro plays a vital role in the lives of common people, making commutes easy, convenient and time-efficient.
