Telangana Weather News: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad has issued an alert for rain and thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls in multiple Telangana districts till May 7. The temperature in districts is likely to hover between 36 and 40 degrees Celsius. As per the weather body temperatures may decrease slightly in the next two days in the state.

On Monday, Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Nalgonda and Warangal districts are likely to see light rain with gusty winds with speeds of 40 to 50 kmph. The weather body has put 16 Telangana districts on alert on Monday, May 5. Light rain with gusty winds reaching speeds of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour are likely at some places in Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Jogulamba and Gadwal districts.

Additionally, 17 districts in Telangana have been put on a yellow alert till Wednesday. Adilabad, Komaram Bheem, Mancherial, Nirmal, Jogulamba Gadwal, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Medak, Nagar Kurnool, Narayanpet, Nizamabad and Wanaparthy districts have been put on yellow alert. As per the weather body 12 Telangana districts are likely to see high temperatures today.

Hyderabad Weather Forecast

Looking ahead, the weather in Hyderabad for the coming week is expected to remain warm accompanied by rain, thunderstorms, or dust storms on certain days. Daytime temperatures will range from 36 degrees Celsius to 38 degrees Celsius, while nighttime temperatures will hover around 25 degrees Celsius to 26 degrees Celsius.

On May 5, residents can expect partly cloudy skies with possibilities of rain and thunderstorms. May 6 may bring short spells of rain or thundershowers under similar cloud conditions.

By May 7, the forecast predicts increased cloud cover with a generally cloudy sky, along with chances for rain, thunder, or dust storms.

From May 8 to 9, the weather will continue to be partly cloudy, with light rain or thunderstorms expected. Overall, the heat will persist, coupled with slightly humid conditions.
