A girl jumped onto the tracks at the Shadipur metro station and walked along the edge of the Delhi Metro’s Blue Line, threatening to kill herself on Monday. The incident, which took place around 5 pm on Monday, also caused a traffic jam on the road below as a large crowd gathered to watch the girl who was threatening to kill herself. 

A video of the girl’s act is circulating on social media platforms where she is being seen talking with someone on her phone while people on the roads watch her hanging around the railing. 

The girl was rescued by the DMRC staff and Delhi police who are investigating the matter and motive behind the girl’s suicide attempt. The girl had crossed the boundary on the track and went ahead of the metro station before threatening to jump down from the elevated metro railways.

This is the latest case of unusual incidents at the Delhi metro, which is often in the news for objectionable videos of couples. Earlier, multiple videos of Delhi Metro have gone viral on social media drawing criticism as well as laughs from netizens.
