Delhi: Public transport in Delhi is set for a major upgrade as residents of Narela will soon benefit from a brand-new bus terminal. The Rekha Gupta-led administration has fast-tracked infrastructure developments to enhance urban mobility. In addition to the arrival of 150 new 'Devi' buses this month, a state-of-the-art bus terminal is on the verge of completion in Sector-9, Narela.
Spanning 4,000 square metres, the Narela Bus Terminal will feature modern amenities designed to improve commuter convenience and streamline operations. According to Jagran.com, the terminal will include three dedicated bus bays and two large, high-tech sheds measuring 34 metres and 40 metres, respectively.

Commuters can also look forward to additional facilities such as designated bus parking, a well-maintained canteen, hygienic toilet blocks, an RO-based drinking water supply, and electric vehicle charging points all developed with long-term sustainability in mind.
Delhi’s Transport Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh recently chaired a review meeting with officials to evaluate ongoing transport initiatives. Highlighting the city's evolving public transport system, Dr. Singh remarked that the nine-metre-long DTC-run ‘Devi’ buses, currently serving high-density areas, have garnered "an excellent response from the residents of Delhi."
