Delhi-NCR experienced a sudden shift in weather by evening on Tuesday, with dust storms followed by heavy rain across multiple areas. Several parts of the NCR, including Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad witnessed downpours, which led to waterlogging and traffic congestion on multiple roads.
As the evening rush hour coincided with the rain, traffic congestion worsened. Vehicles were strained due to traffic congestion on key routes, including Sector-14 in Noida and South Extension in Delhi. The increased volume of vehicles, due to people leaving work, exacerbated the situation.
