Delhi-NCR Power Cut: The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) on Friday stated that several regions of Hapur district will face power outages for two days. While providing details, the authority informed that the residents will witness a power cut on Saturday and Sunday for eight hours between 9 am and 5 pm. It further stated that the power cut will take place due to the planned maintenance works, adding that the power supply will resume after 5 pm.The authority stated that the residents are likely to face inconveniences due to the scorching heat. It also advised them to follow the guidelines and plan their day accordingly to avoid the inconveniences. The Power Corporation officials, while providing details, stated that the information regarding the maintenance was already given to the residents. They stated that the repair work is to be done on the 33 KV line of the Patna Muradpur Power Station.

Apart from this, construction work will also be carried out on Swarg Ashram Road, leading to power outages in several nearby regions. The officials also stated that a 1000 KV transformer is also to be placed on Garh Road in the city, adding that the power supply will resume from Monday onwards.

The officials stated that the maintenance work will lead to power outages in the Garh Road, Swarg Ashram Road, Brahmanan, Chah Kamal, and Garhgate areas. They further stated that the residents of these areas will have to face inconveniences due to the scorching heat. The India Metrological Department (IMD) on Saturday stated that several districts of Uttar Pradesh, including Hapur, are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall in the upcoming few days.

The weather department stated that the rainfall is likely to reduce the maximum temperature by two to four degrees Celsius, providing major relief from the heat.
