State Bureau, New Delhi: After a brief respite, Delhi-NCR residents will once again face intense heat. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts both the minimum and maximum temperatures to rise over the next few days.
Light Rain Likely On Thursday And Friday
According to IMD, there will change again on Thursday and Friday and there will be strong winds along with light rain, due to which the maximum temperature may drop to 35 degrees.
A sunny day on Saturday raised the temperatures once again. The maximum temperature reached 40 degrees Celsius, an increase of more than four degrees Celsius compared to Friday. The weather will remain similar for the next few days, with maximum temperatures expected to reach 42 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Department had forecast strong winds and light rain on Saturday afternoon. However, the weather remained unchanged in the evening.
UP Sizzles
Uttar Pradesh’s weather has fluctuated over the past few days. According to IMD, daytime temperatures could rise by up to six degrees Celsius in nearly all districts from east to west over the next five to six days. During this time, some districts in southern Uttar Pradesh may experience drizzle along with cloud movement.
According to senior meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, daytime temperatures will begin to rise across the state starting Sunday. Heatwaves are also forecast in approximately 40 districts from Monday to Thursday. The greatest impact will be felt in Lucknow and surrounding areas, as well as in eastern Uttar Pradesh. On Saturday, Bundelkhand and southern districts experienced heat and intense sunlight.
