Delhi Weather Today: The weather has taken a U-turn across the country, including the capital city, Delhi and the NCR. Today, the weather in Delhi-NCR brought relief to residents, with cloudy skies and cool winds lowering temperatures across the region.

Rain lashed parts of Delhi and NCR on Friday late afternoon, including Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram. After a day of intense sun and hot winds, the weather transformed into a pleasant evening, with light rain and strong winds on Friday.
According to the Safdarjung Meteorological Centre, the day's maximum temperature was recorded at 42.3 degrees Celsius, 1.9 degrees above normal. This marked the hottest day of the season so far, surpassing the previous high of 42.1 degrees Celsius on April 26.
Ayanagar received the highest rainfall of 7.2 mm, providing much-needed relief to the residents.
Trees Uprooted In Faridabad Rain
Faridabad experienced heavy rainfall, while several other areas received drizzle, bringing a pleasant change to the weather. However, the strong storm and rain in Faridabad led to trees falling on roads, damaging numerous vehicles.
Delhi NCR Weather Today
According to the forecast of the India Meteorological Department(IMD), Delhi and neighbouring regions are likely to experience rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. There will be gusty winds with speeds up to 30-40 kmph. Currently, the skies in Noida and Delhi are cloudy with cool winds. The weather office has placed a yellow alert in Delhi on Saturday for light rain, thunderstorms, and lightning with gusty winds raising dust. The wind speed is likely to hit 50 kmph in a few hours, as this wind is predicted for the morning.

Delhi is expected to witness partly cloudy skies with sustained winds occasionally gusting 35 kmph tomorrow, on Sunday.
Among the NCR, Ghaziabad and Noida are up for thunderstorms and lightning, while Gurugram and Faridabad are expected to receive strong surface winds along with thunderstorms and lightning today, as per the weather department.
