Delhi NCR Weather Update: The Delhi-NCR weather is expected to take another turn with a 2-degree Celsius temperature rise expected in the next 48 hours. After weeks of incessant rainfall, leading to flood-like conditions in low-lying areas and waterlogging across the city, the Delhi-NCR weather is set to take a turn towards hot and humid weather.

Delhi observed the heaviest rainfall in the last 15 years, breaking the records. The July-August months were comparatively cool with the cleanest air in the January-August period in the last 8 years, except the COVID year.

Delhi-NCR Weather Today: Cloudy Skies With Light Spells Of Rain

According to the weather forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the Delhi-NCR is likely to observe a day with grey skies and a few spells of light to moderate rain today. Thunderstorms and lightning are also expected at isolated places. The similar weather as Sunday will be followed by Monday.

Delhi- NCR Weather Forecast: Temperature To Rise In The Coming Days

The weather department forecast shows that spells of rain are likely to subside in the coming days, with a temperature rise expected. The forecast only mentions cloudy skies in the weather forecast after Monday. From Tuesday onwards, the national capital city and neighbouring cities like Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, and others are expected to witness partly cloudy skies changing position with the sun alternately.

According to Skymet Weather's latest report, Delhi-NCR can expect a mix of heavy and light rain today and tomorrow, September 7-8. However, the spell of heavy rain is predicted to subside in Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab thereafter
