A Delhi Police constable was killed after he was run over by a liquor mafia’s car in a road rage incident in Delhi’s Nangloi area last night. The constable was allegedly dragged for 10 metres before colliding with another vehicle. The police have seized the car and the driver is currently absconding, Delhi Police said. The deceased constable has been identified as constable Sandeep, who died during treatment.
The accused, who was bringing illegal liquor from Haryana, committed the crime in the Nangloi police station area of the outer district. According to preliminary information, Sandeep was posted in the area at 2.30 am on Saturday night. During this time, he signaled a vehicle coming from Bahadurgarh in Haryana to stop, jagran.com reported
Instead of stopping the vehicle, the driver ran over the constable and crushed him. The injured was rushed to the nearby Sonia Hospital. Later he was taken to Balaji Hospital in Paschim Vihar, where doctors declared him dead.

Senior police officers rushed to the spot and launched an operation to arrest the culprit.
