The Delhi Police have successfully recovered a minor girl from Madhya Pradesh after months of being kidnapped. She was found to be two months pregnant. The police have also arrested her kidnapper. The accused has been identified as Anees Khan, and he was arrested after an intense investigation, including tracking leads through social media platforms like Instagram.

The matter came to light on 18th February, when a complaint was lodged at the Geeta Colony police station alleging kidnapping and disappearance of a 15-year-old girl.

Based op the complaint, a case was registered by the Delhi Police under Section 137(2) BNS and a search was started for the missing minor. Even after extensive and persistent efforts by the police, nothing yielded.

As the investigation kept going on. the police officers
spoke to the girl's family and friends. The police are also using secret sources for information. During the inquiry, the team found out that the missing girl was in contact with one Anees Khan, a local patty vendor.

The police then contacted Khan's family and found him missing since the day the girl was missing.

Further investigation revealed that Khan is already married and has a child. He had fled with the 15-year-old girl while leaving his pregnant wife behind.

Despite a raid in the village of Allahpur in MP's Morena, the police failed to locate either the minor or the accused. Khan's mobile phone also remained untraceable as it had been switched off since the day of the disappearance.

In March 2025, police got information from the family, which led the police to three Instagram accounts linked to the case.

After careful analysis, police found out that one of those accounts was created on February 23 using a mobile number that had been switched off.

After digging deep, it was revealed that the mobile number was connected to a mobile hotspot linked to the name Ramlakhan Singh from MP's Morena.

Singh had unknowingly shared his internet connection with an unidentified individual while en route to Gujarat from MP. The police also found out that another mobile number, which had been used to access the Instagram account from Gwalior, MP.

Working on the lead, Delhi Police intensified their search, and on May 3, a raid was conducted in Gwalior's Malghada Chowk. The girl had finally recovered, and the accused, Anees Khan, was apprehended.

During questioning, it was found that the girl was two months pregnant, and the accused had kept her isolated, not allowing her to communicate with anyone. The minor girl's mobile phone had also been deprived of a SIM card after she left her home. The girl was subsequently reunited with her family after all necessary legal formalities were completed.
