Delhi Power Cut: Several areas in North West Delhi may experience power outages for the next few days as a result of a scheduled shutdown for road construction. According to Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL), the outage will affect regions such as Bankner, Bawana JJ Colony, Auchandi, Daryapur Nangal, Ghogha Village, Barwala, Holambi Kalan and Bawana Village.

The planned shutdown will take place between May 9 and May 12, from 10 AM to 6 PM, to facilitate a road project by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The project involves the construction of a road spur connecting the Bawana industrial area to the proposed Sonipat bypass.

To ensure safety and enable infrastructure upgrades, the TPDDL will replace the existing 66 kV overhead power lines with underground cables. This work is essential to accommodate the ongoing development.

In order to minimise the inconvenience to residents, the TPDDL has outlined a contingency plan. Alternative arrangements will be in place to ensure that any disruptions are kept to a minimum during the shutdown period.
