Delhi Rain Today: Heavy rain lashed the national capital and NCR cities on Sunday, following waterlogging and traffic congestion in several parts of the city and adjoining areas. The India Meteorological Department’s Delhi website issued a red alert for more rain in the South West Delhi districts.
Heavy downpours on Sunday led to waterlogging, which disrupted traffic in several areas of the capital, with significant traffic congestion reported in Central Delhi’s Connaught Place. Several parts of the city, including Firoz Shah Road, experienced light to moderate showers during the day.

Delhi Weather Forecast: IMD Issues Alert For More Rain
According to the latest forecast by IMD, the South West Delhi District is under red alert, while all other areas are placed under orange alert. The weather department has predicted overcast skies with moderate rainfall on Monday as well.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 33 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively. The minimum temperature recorded on Sunday stood at 25.1 degrees Celsius, 2.2 degrees Celsius below the seasonal average.
According to the data by the Central Pollution Control Board, the air quality in Delhi stood in the ‘satisfactory’ category at 4 PM with an AQI recording of 86.
Delhi recorded a continuous spell of rain from July 9 to July 13. Heavy rain lashed several parts of the national capital and adjoining areas on Wednesday, leading to severe waterlogging and traffic snarls, especially in Gurugram. Since July 9, light to moderate rain has continued in Delhi and adjacent areas. The continuous spell of rain brought relief to the residents from the scorching heat and humidity. Overcast skies and moderate rain are expected to continue over the next week.
