There Were 211 Waterlogged Places In 2021

In 2021, 211 waterlogged places were identified in Delhi. Before the monsoon in 2022, the traffic police had alerted all the departments about this and sent them a letter advising them to install pumps at waterlogged places and get the drains cleaned on time.

The list sent by the traffic police to the DDA, Delhi Municipal Corporation, New Delhi Municipal Council and Public Works Department mentioned 211 waterlogging-prone spots, of which 132 were under the PWD.

As per departmental sources, 15 places with waterlogging were reduced. But in 2023, this number had increased to 200. Out of these, 157 places were under PWD. Whereas in 2024, the number of these places has increased to 308.
