Delhi Red Fort Blast: Following Red Fort car bomb blast case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a Kashmiri resident who had conspired with the suicide bomber to carry out the terror attack, which claimed 10 innocent lives and left 32 others injured.
On the evening of November 10, a powerful explosion shook Delhi when a Hyundai i20 detonated at 6:52 pm near the Red Fort Metro Station, claiming at least 10 lives and injuring many others. The blast caused extensive damage to nearby vehicles, and scenes from the site showed debris strewn across the area and victims caught in the wreckage.
Amir Rashid Ali, in whose name the car involved in the attack was registered, was arrested from Delhi by the NIA, which had launched a massive search operation after taking over the case from Delhi Police.

NIA investigations revealed that the accused, a resident of Samboora, Pampore in Jammu and Kashmir, had collaborated with the alleged suicide bomber, Umar Un Nabi, to carry out the terror attack. Amir Rashid Ali had traveled to Delhi to assist in purchasing the car later used as a vehicle-borne IED in the blast.
Forensic analysis by NIA confirmed the deceased driver of the IED as Umar Un Nabi, a Pulwama resident and Assistant Professor in the General Medicine Department at Al Falah University, Faridabad.
The agency has also seized another vehicle owned by Nabi, which is under examination for evidence. So far, NIA has questioned 73 witnesses, including those injured in the November 10 explosion that shook the national capital.
In close coordination with Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, and UP police, as well as other agencies, NIA continues its multi-state investigation, following multiple leads to uncover the broader conspiracy and identify other individuals involved in the attack.
Working in close coordination with Delhi Police, Jammu & Kashmir Police, Haryana Police, UP Police and various sister agencies, NIA is continuing its investigation across states. It is pursuing multiple leads to unearth the larger conspiracy behind the bombing and identify others involved in the case.
