Delhi-Sonipat Metro Corridor: The plan to connect Haryana's Sonipat to the Delhi Metro is swiftly nearing completion. This project is part of the fourth phase of the Delhi Metro and is expected to be finished by 2028. Two additional metro stations will be built in Sonipat at Kundli and Nathupur, allowing thousands of people to travel from Sonipat to Delhi more conveniently.
Officials are seeking to tackle the project's land acquisition concerns and other technical challenges. This metro line will not only improve traffic flow but will also contribute significantly to Sonipat's growth.
DS Dhesi, Principal Advisor of the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA), recently chaired a meeting to assess the project's development. The conference was attended by officials from the Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC), the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), and the district administration.
Land purchase, roadwork, and the removal of electric poles were all thoroughly considered. Dhesi directed the officials to address these issues as soon as possible so that the project could continue on schedule.
