Delhi Traffic Advisory: Commuters in central and west Delhi are likely to face traffic congestion over the next few weeks as the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has begun drainage maintenance and upgradation work on New Rohtak Road, stretching from Kamal T-Point to Zakhira Flyover towards Punjabi Bagh.
According to a traffic advisory issued by the Delhi Traffic Police, the project started on November 9, 2025 and will continue for 45 days, affecting traffic between 11 AM and 9 PM daily. The ongoing work at Anand Parbat will lead to the closure of two lanes on this stretch, causing heavy and slow-moving traffic during working hours.

Officials have advised motorists to plan their journeys in advance and avoid the affected road whenever possible. The advisory also requests commuters to follow on-ground traffic signs and the directions of police personnel deployed at the site.

Delhi Traffic Advisory And Alternative Routes
Commuters travelling towards Punjabi Bagh or West Delhi via New Rohtak Road should take a right turn from Kamal T-Point towards Sarai Rohilla via Veer Banda Bairagi Marg, and then proceed via Inderlok to reach their destination.
