Delhi Traffic Advisory: Traffic movement in several parts of South Delhi will be regulated on Sunday, November 23, due to the “Bharat Ka Bhavishya - Shahothon” Half Marathon at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (JLN Stadium). The event will begin at 6:00 AM and Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory asking commuters to avoid key stretches during the morning hours.

Restrictions will be enforced between 4:00 AM and 9:30 AM on multiple routes surrounding the stadium. Police officials said special arrangements have been made to ensure smooth movement for participants as well as regular traffic, but delays are expected on roads leading towards B.P. Marg, CGO Complex Road and nearby avenues.

Heavy vehicles will not be allowed on specific stretches and diversions will be activated depending on traffic flow. Authorities have advised commuters travelling to railway stations, the airport, or hospitals to plan their travel early and use alternative routes.

Delhi Traffic Diversion Points

Mehar Chand Market Signal: Heavy vehicles from Sewa Nagar, Jor Bagh and INA will be diverted towards Aurobindo Marg via 4th Avenue Road and Sewa Nagar Market Road.

Kotla Red Light: Traffic from Kotla Mubarakpur Gurudwara, Defence Colony Market and Andrews Ganj will be diverted towards Defence Colony Market Road.

Gate No. 17 Roundabout, JLN Stadium: Vehicles from Dayal Singh College and Pragati Vihar side will be diverted to Lala Lajpat Marg through the CGO Complex red light.

2nd & 4th Avenue Roads: Traffic from Sewa Nagar and Jor Bagh will be diverted towards Jor Bagh Road.

Delhi Traffic Restriction

- Heavy vehicles will not be allowed from JLN Stadium red light to B.P. Marg between 4:00 AM and 9:30 AM.

- Delays are likely around B.P. Marg, CGO Complex Road and nearby stretches.

Emergency Vehicles

All emergency vehicles, including ambulances, fire brigades and police vehicles, will be allowed free movement but are advised to avoid B.P. Marg and CGO Complex Road to prevent delays.
