Delhi Tazia Traffic Advisory: Delhi traffic police has issued an advisory in the wake of the scheduled Tazia procession and Mata Maharani Jyoti Yatra. The Yatra is to be taken out in the Pahadganj area; hence, traffic movement will be disrupted in the area.
The police, in its advisory, said that traffic movement may be regulated and restricted on certain roads in the Paharganj jurisdiction on Sunday to ensure smooth vehicular movement and public safety.
Delhi Traffic Advisory On Sunday: THESE Roads To Avoid
According to the Delhi traffic police, traffic may be restricted in a phased manner as the procession passes through different roads, and will remain diverted from 9 in the morning to 6 in the evening, hence commuters are advised to avoid following roads-
- Desh Bandhu Gupta Road (DBG Road)
- Chelmford Road
- Qutub Road
- Adjoining Areas of Paharganj
Delhi Traffic Restriction Today: List Of Alternate Routes
Traffic police have also issued a list of routes, which commuters can opt for and avoid inconvenience during traffic regulation and diversion.
- For NDLS/ Cannaught Place: Commuters heading towards New Delhi Railway Station and Cannaught Place are advised to reach their destination via Rani Jhansi Road- Panchkuian Road- Mandir Marg- Kali Bari Marg.
- For DBG Road/ Ajmeri Gate: Vehicles going to Ajmeri Gate and DBG roads may be diverted to Paharganj- Rani Jhansi Road.
- Heavy traffic and buses are expected to be curtailed at Aram Bagh and not allowed towards Ajmeri Gate during Tazia procession hours.

Delhi Tazia Procession Traffic Advisory: General Directives To Commuters
- Motorists are requested not to use above mentioned routes from 9 am to 6 pm.
- People travelling towards New Delhi Railway Station, Cannaught Place, or Ajmeri Gate are requested to plan their journey in advance, as they may face traffic restrictions on the route.
- Delhi traffic police has urged commuters to use public transport mostly to avoid traffic restriction snarls.
