Delhi Traffic Advisory: Traffic movement on several roads in Delhi is likely to be hit on Friday as Russian President Vladimir Putin is in the national capital for his two-day visit, which will be concluded today. As part of his visit, several events are planned in the city. Consequently, a comprehensive traffic advisory has been issued.
On Friday morning, Putin will pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat, and will have bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House.
Following this, he will participate in the FICCI conference at Bharat Mandapam in the afternoon, and then in the evening, he will attend a state banquet hosted by the Government of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The Russian President will leave India at around 9 PM. Therefore, several routes have been changed on Friday.
10 AM to 11:30 AM
According to the advisory, no vehicle will be allowed to stop or park anywhere on Mother Teresa Crescent, Teen Murti Marg, Akbar Road, MLNP, Janpath Road from 10 am to 11:30 am on Friday.
Vehicles parked on these roads will be towed and prosecuted for improper parking and disobeying legal instructions. Towed vehicles will be parked in the traffic pits on Kali Bari Mandir Marg and in front of the Bhairon Temple.
Route diversions: There will be diversion on Vande Mataram Marg- Simon Bolivar Marg, Kautilya Marg, San Martin- Manas Crossing, San Martin- ABHM Crossing, San Martin Abbey Crossing, Sunheri Masjid, Rail Bhavan.
The traffic police have advised avoiding Sardar Patel Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, Teen Murti Marg, Akbar Road, MLNP, and Janpath Road.
Commuters can use Vande Mataram Marg, Yashwant Place, Maulana Azad Road, K. Kamaraj Marg, Raisina Road, Rafi Marg.
11 AM to 12:30 PM
No vehicles will be allowed to stop or park anywhere on Janpath Road, Windsor Place, Feroz Shah Road, Mandi House, Sikandra Road, and W-Point.
During this period, diversions will be in place on Janpath Tolstoy Marg, Tolstoy KG Marg, Ranjit Singh Flyover, Barakhamba Road, Sunheri Masjid, and Rail Bhavan. Commuters can use DDU Marg, Asaf Ali Road, Maulana Azad Road, K. Kamaraj Marg, Raisina Road, and Rafi Marg.
03:00 PM to 05:00 PM
No vehicle will be allowed to stop or park anywhere on Janpath Road, Windsor Place, Feroz Shah Road, Mandi House, Sikandra Road, W-Point, Mathura Road and Bhairon Marg. During this period, traffic on Janpath Tolstoy Marg, Tolstoy KG Marg, Ranjit Singh Flyover Barakhamba Road, W-Point, MLNP, Q-Point, Sunehri Masjid Road, Claridges Hotel, Akbar Road, Man Singh Road, NSCI Club Mathura Road, Bhagwan Das Road/Tilak Marg have been diverted. During this period, commuters can use Prithvi Raj Road, DDU Marg, Asaf Ali Road, Maulana Azad Road.
05:00 PM to 09:00 PM
No vehicles will be allowed to stop or park anywhere on Mother Teresa Crescent, Teen Murti Marg, Akbar Road, MLNP, Janpath Road. During this period, diversions will be implemented on Vande Mataram Marg-Simon Bolivar Marg, Kautilya Marg, San Martin-Manas Crossing, San Martin-ABHM Crossing, San Martin Abbey Crossing, Sunehri Masjid, Rail Bhavan.

During this period, commuters can opt for Vande Mataram Marg, Yashwant Place, Maulana Azad Road, K. Kamaraj Marg, Raisina Road and Rafi Marg.
Appeal to Passengers
The advisory urges travelers to avoid diverted routes and use public transport. Those traveling to the ISBT/railway station or airport are advised to plan their travels with sufficient time.
