Delhi Traffic Advisory: The Delhi Traffic Police has blocked traffic movement on Vishwavidyalaya Marg after a bus got stuck on a sunken section, officials said on Friday. Vehicular movement from Mall Road towards Hansraj College (Malka Ganj) and vice-versa will be restricted for 4-5 days due to ongoing repair work on the stretch by the Delhi Jal Board (DJB). Officials have advised commuters to take alternate routes till the work is complete.

"Movement of traffic is closed on Vishwavidyalaya Marg in both the carriageways from Mall Road towards Hansraj College (Malka Ganj) and vice-versa for 4-5 days due to ongoing work being carried out by DJB. Commuters are advised to take alternate routes to avoid inconvenience," the advisory read.

The Vishwavidyalaya Marg, which runs roughly 1.6 km from Mahatma Gandhi Marg to the Hansraj College Petrol Pump, was closed for 15 days in February to accommodate the installation of a 1400mm diameter MS pipeline by the Delhi Jal Board Department.

During this time, commuters heading from Mall Road to Hindu College were recommended to use the detour via Chhatra Marg, Sudhir Bose Marg, and Vishwavidyalaya Marg, and vice versa.
