Delhi traffic police have issued temporary traffic restrictions and diversions in Central Delhi on Monday between 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM due to emergencies in the area, officials said on Sunday.

The affected routes include both carriageways and service roads in areas around IP Marg, the ITO crossing, Vikas Marg, MGM IP Flyover, DDU Marg, and BSZ Marg, extending from W Point to A Point up to Delhi Gate.

Police have advised commuters to avoid these routes and use alternative roads during the specified time. The traffic police also stated that parking will be permitted only in designated areas. Motorists are urged to plan their travel in advance to avoid inconvenience during the two-hour restriction period.
In a post on X, Delhi Police wrote, “ Traffic Advisory, On 02.06.25, Due to exigencies, traffic restrictions & diversions will be in place in both the carriageways and service roads around IP Marg, ITO crossing, Vikas Marg, MGM IP flyover, DDU Marg & BSZ Marg from W point to A Point up to Delhi Gate. Delhi JNU University Advisory For Covid-19
Amid a recent rise in Covid-19 cases across India, a female student at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has tested positive for the virus. In response, the university administration has issued an advisory urging students and staff to take necessary precautions.
The affected student has been placed in isolation, and her condition is reported to be stable. JNU has also released helpline numbers for assistance.
The advisory said the importance of safeguarding the health and well-being of students, staff, and campus residents. It urges everyone to remain cautious and follow preventive measures to curb the spread of the infection.
"Everyone has been advised to wash or sanitize hands frequently, wear masks in public, maintain personal hygiene," the university advised.
