Delhi Water Cut: The water supply in several areas of North East Delhi will be affected on the evening of August 7, informed the Delhi Jal Board. The shutdown period is expected to last 8 to 10 hours, starting from 9:00 am, as per approval from higher authorities. This disruption is due to the shifting of a 1200 mm diameter sluice valve in the Tahirpur main near Bhajanpura market by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and maintenance work at the Sonia Vihar Water Treatment Plant (WTP).

Sonia Vihar, Mustafabad, Karawal Nagar, Gokalpuri, Tahirpur, Dilshad Garden, Nandnagari, Yamuna Vihar, Shiv Vihar, Ghonda, Harsh Vihar, Janta Flats, Dilshad Colony, Seemapuri, and surrounding regions such as Ibrahim Pur Village, Sant Nagar, Burari, Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar, Samaypur Village, Badli Village, and Libaspur Village.

Delhi-NCR Weather Updates
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the monsoon trough is likely to approach Delhi-NCR (National Capital Region) and cause rainfall for the next three days. Moreover, the weather department predicted ‘very heavy rainfall’ in Rajasthan on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, in Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday and in Uttarakhand on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
"The monsoon trough is expected to come close to Delhi-NCR along with other weather systems likely to cause rain for the next three days," the IMD said. Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall is likely over Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi for the next 3 days.
Northeast Weather Updates
Furthermore, the IMD on Tuesday issued an orange alert for heavy rain showers in West Bengal, Assam, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura. 'Heavy to very heavy rainfall' is likely in Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, and Tripura till August 10.
