Delhi Weather Update Today: On Sunday, heavy rainfall lashed several parts of the national capital , bringing much-needed relief from the persistent humidity. However, the downpour also led to widespread waterlogging across key areas of the national capital, disrupting daily activities. The maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded between 31 and 33 Degree Celsius, and 24 to 26 Degree Celsius respectively. Winds blew from the northwest at 10-15 kmph in the morning, shifted to the southwest at 10-15 kmph in the afternoon and turned westerly at 5-10 kmph in the evening. The day remained generally cloudy, with a few spells of light to moderate rain and thundershowers observed throughout.

Several localities across Delhi, including Vijay Chowk, Connaught Place, Minto Bridge, Sarojini Nagar, AIIMS, and Panchkuian Marg, experienced significant disruptions to daily life following intense rainfall. Showers were also reported in areas like Janpath, Lajpat Nagar, and Minto Bridge. In Deoli Vidhan Sabha, visuals revealed severe waterlogging, further compounding the difficulties faced by commuters across the city.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that rainfall will continue in the city, with a cloudy sky and light rain or drizzle expected to persist throughout Sunday. According to the IMD, light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by light thunderstorms and lightning, is very likely in NCR areas such as Bahadurgarh and Manesar. Additionally, the department stated that light rain is likely across the entire Delhi-NCR region, covering Loni Dehat, Hindon Air Force Station, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, and Ballabhgarh.

Delhi Five Day Weather Forecast 

On August 4, the maximum temperature is expected to range between 32 and 34 Degree Celsius, while the minimum will be between 23 and 25 Degree Celsius. Winds during the morning hours will blow from the west at 10-15 kmph, shifting to southwest at 10-15 kmph during the afternoon, and easing to southwest at 5-10 kmph in the evening. The sky will remain generally cloudy, with a few spells of light to moderate rain or thundershowers anticipated throughout the day.

On August 5, the temperature is expected to range between 31 and 33 Degree Celsius for the maximum and 24 to 26 Degree Celsius for the minimum. Winds will blow consistently from the northeast, starting at 5-10 kmph in the morning and increasing to 10-15 kmph during both the afternoon and evening. The sky will be partly cloudy, with a possibility of very light to light rain or thundershowers during the day.

On August 6, the maximum temperature is forecasted to be between 32 and 34 Degree Celsius, while the minimum will range from 24 to 26 Degree Celsius. Winds will remain northeasterly throughout the day, blowing at 10-15 kmph in the morning and afternoon, then slightly decreasing to 5-10 kmph in the evening. The sky will be partly cloudy, with a possibility of very light rain or thundershowers expected during the period.

On August 7, temperatures are expected to range between 33 and 35 Degree Celsius for the maximum and 24 to 26 Degree Celsius for the minimum. Winds will blow from the northwest at 5-10 kmph in the morning, strengthening to 10-15 kmph in the afternoon, before shifting to a southeasterly direction at 10-15 kmph in the evening. The sky will be partly cloudy, with a possibility of very light rain or thundershowers during the day.

On August 8, the maximum temperature is expected to be between 34 and 36 Degree Celsius, with a minimum ranging from 24 to 26 Degree Celsius. Winds will blow steadily from the southeast, starting at 10-15 kmph in both the morning and afternoon, then increasing to 15-20 kmph in the evening. The day will see very light to light rain or thundershowers.

Delhi AQI (Air Quality Index)

According to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi’s air quality remained in the "satisfactory" category, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 84 recorded at 6 PM on Saturday. The CPCB classifies AQI levels as follows: 0-50 as 'good', 51-100 as 'satisfactory', 101-200 as 'moderate', 201-300 as 'poor', 301-400 as 'very poor', and 401-500 as 'severe'.
