Delhi Weather Update: Delhi and surrounding areas including Noida, Gurugram and Ghaziabad witnessed dense fog on Thursday morning. As a result, visibility was severely impacted and traffic chaos was reported across the Delhi-NCR region. As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), similar conditions will continue in the coming days. Dense fog is also likely on Friday.

The minimum temperature is expected to be between 8 degrees Celsius to 10 degrees Celsius for Delhi. As per IMD, dense fog enveloped Delhi at 6 am on Thursday. Visibility at Palam Airport dropped sharply to 150 metres, while Safdarjung Airport reported visibility of 200 metres.

Dense fog led to traffic disruption with slow vehicular movement on roads and highways connecting Delhi with Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Noida, PTI reported. Meanwhile, the Airport Authority of India (AAI) stated that persistent fog is affecting several airports across Northern India, resulting in low visibility and possible flight delays. Passengers are advised to confirm their flight status with their airline before heading to the airport. Check the airport’s official website or social media handles for updates. Plan your journey in advance and allow additional travel time.
