Delhi Weather Update: Shallow fog blanketed several parts of the national capital on Sunday morning, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting partly cloudy skies for the next few days. The temperatures hovered around 12 degrees Celsius at 7 AM on 30 November.
The national capital experienced its coldest November in five years, with the monthly average minimum temperature falling to 11.5 degrees Celsius, news agency PTI reported. Daytime temperatures also remained lower than last year. Delhi remained completely dry in November, without a single day of rain this year.

The weather department has forecast shallow to moderate fog during the morning hours from December 1 to 5. The minimum temperatures are expected to remain near normal, ranging between 8 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius, with possible variations of -1.5 degrees Celsius to 1.5 degrees Celsius over the next three days until Tuesday.

The maximum temperatures are likely to hover between 23 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius and are predicted to be “normal to below normal” (down by 1.6 degrees Celsius to 3.0 degrees Celsius) during the same period.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a drop in both minimum and maximum temperatures by about 2 to 3 degrees Celsius between December 3 and 5. “Both minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to be below normal to appreciably below normal (02-05°C) during the above period,” the IMD said. However, the skies are expected to be clear and shallow to moderate fog is likely during morning hours.

According to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi’s air quality recorded a marginal improvement on Sunday morning, slipping into the ‘poor’ category with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 270 at 6 AM.
