Delhi Weather Update: Residents of the national capital are expected to experience foggy skies and a chilly morning on Friday, November 28, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast minimum temperatures to drop to 10 degrees Celsius. However, the weather department has not issued any alert for the day, forecasting stable weather conditions despite the cold start.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature is expected to remain around 28 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is likely to drop to 10 degrees Celsius, bringing a chilly start to the day for the residents of the national capital.

The weather department, however, has not issued any rain or thunderstorm warnings but forecasted a foggy day ahead, Times Now reported.

Delhi Records Coldest November Morning Since 2022

The national capital witnessed the coldest November morning since 2022 on Wednesday, with temperatures plunging to 8 degrees Celsius, about 3.3 degrees Celsius below the seasonal average. In comparison, the capital had recorded a low of 7.3 degrees Celsius in November 2022.

Before Wednesday, the coldest temperature in Delhi this November was recorded on November 17, when the mercury dipped to 8.7 degrees Celsius, the report added.

Delhi Battles Severe Air Pollution As AQI Hits 351

Delhi is grappling with a severe air pollution crisis, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) reaching 351, placing it in the ‘very poor’ category. Several areas, including Bawana, Rohini and Wazirpur crossed the 400 mark, reaching the ‘severe’ category.

The pollution levels in the national capital rose again after Stage 3 of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) was lifted following a slight improvement in air quality on Wednesday.
