Delhi Rains: A heavy spell of rain lashed parts of Delhi-NCR on Saturday accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms bringing respite from the humid weather. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted a cloudy sky with light rain or drizzle during the day. As per IMD, the humidity level was recorded at 115 per cent in Delhi on Saturday morning. Visuals from near India Gate show cars, autorickshaws and scooter-borne riders traversing the wet roads through the rains.

Apart from Delhi, the adjoining cities of Noida and Gurugram also witnessed heavy showers with gusty winds. The weather department has predicted that light rains with thunderstorms and gusty winds will continue throughout the day.
The minimum temperature in the national capital on Saturday was recorded at 27 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average. The maximum temperature is likely to settle at 36 degrees Celsius, the IMD said. Several parts of the city, including east Delhi, Shahdara, northeast Delhi, and south, witnessed rain after cloudy weather.
Apart from the Delhi-NCR region, heavy rains lashed Nagpur city in Maharashtra where severe waterlogging was witnessed after the incessant downpour. a team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) evacuated as many as six people stranded in the overflowing Ambajhari Lake.

Waterlogging was also reported at Canal Road Ramdaspeth in Nagpur where locals were stuck in their houses as flood waters gushed into their homes. Visuals showed low-lying areas, homes and roads inundated in rain waters.
The Regional Meteorological Center, Mumbai had predicted heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms over part of Konkan and ghat areas of Madhya in Maharashtra for three days ending today.
