Delhi Weather: Delhi Airport issued an advisory early Monday morning as sudden rain showers affected parts of Delhi-NCR, following a day of consistent rainfall. The advisory comes amid ongoing weather-related disruptions and aims to inform air travelers about possible delays and alternative transport options.
The official statement, posted on X at 08:13 AM by the Delhi Airport Authority, stated, “As per the Indian Meteorological Department's forecast, Delhi is experiencing inclement weather conditions. Our on-ground teams are working diligently with all stakeholders to ensure your journey remains hassle-free. Passengers are advised to consider alternative modes of transport, including Delhi Metro, to reach the airport and avoid potential delays. For the latest flight information, passengers are advised to contact their respective airlines.”

On Sunday, the maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 38.4 degrees C, while the minimum dropped to 25.1 degrees C, two degrees below the seasonal average. As of Monday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted a generally cloudy sky with light rain, thunderstorms, and lightning likely through the day.
The temperature is expected to range between 23 degrees C to 34 degrees C. While no specific weather warning has been issued, light showers or drizzles are expected to continue across Delhi.

The recent rain comes amid a larger weather trend across the country. The monsoon arrived in India eight days earlier than anticipated this year, bringing heavy downpours and localized flooding to several regions. According to the IMD, the monsoon remains active over central India and is projected to continue over the northwest, including Delhi, in the coming days.
