Delhi-NCR Weather Update: The National Capital and surrounding NCR region woke up to light to moderate rainfall on Tuesday morning after overnight showers. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert as intermittent rain since Monday afternoon brought the temperature down to around 21 Degree Celsius. The rainfall was caused by the first strong western disturbance of the post-monsoon season, which led to steady drizzle and intermittent showers across Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, and other NCR areas.
Coolest October In Two Years
Continued rainfall brought a significant drop in temperatures, with Delhi recording a maximum of 26.5 Degree Celsius on Monday, eight degrees below the seasonal average. This marked the lowest October maximum since 26.2 Degree Celsius was noted on October 17, 2023. By 2:30 AM IST on Tuesday, the mercury had fallen further to 21.8 Degree Celsius, while humidity surged to 98 percent. Calm winds added to the stillness, creating a dense, foggy atmosphere.

Delhi Weather Forecast
On October 7, the maximum temperature will be 27-29 Degree Celsius and the minimum 19-21 Degree Celsius, with a generally cloudy sky, one or two spells of light to moderate rain at many places, thunderstorms or lightning, and gusty winds of 30-40 kmph reaching up to 50 kmph during the morning or forenoon.
On October 8, the maximum temperature will be 31-33 Degree Celsius and the minimum 20-22 Degree Celsius, with a partly cloudy sky.
On October 9, the maximum temperature will be 31-33 Degree Celsius and the minimum 20-22 Degree Celsius, with a mainly clear sky.
On October 10, the maximum temperature will be 32-34 Degree Celsius and the minimum 20-22 Degree Celsius, with a mainly clear sky.
On October 11, the maximum temperature will be 32-34 Degree Celsius and the minimum 20-22 Degree Celsius, with a mainly clear sky.
On October 12, the maximum temperature will be 32-34 Degree Celsius and the minimum 21-23 Degree Celsius, with a mainly clear sky.
Delhi Air Quality (AQI)

The brief rainfall also brought relief to the city’s air, with the 24-hour Air Quality Index (AQI) improving to 105 (moderate) on Monday, down from 159 (moderate) on Sunday. According to the Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi (AQEWS), the AQI is expected to reach “satisfactory” levels on Tuesday before returning to “moderate” on Wednesday.
