The District Town Planner Enforcement (DTPE) team of the Town and Country Planning Department, along with the police force, carried out a major demolition drive in New Gurugram on Tuesday. The drive targeted illegal colonies in three villages - Kiranki, Sancholi, and Daulha - under Police Station Sadar Sohna.

In the village of Kiranki, the DTPE team demolished seven DPCs and five ready-made boundary walls in a colony spread over one acre. The entire road network of the colony was also demolished. According to the DTPE, these colonies were being illegally developed in the control area.

In the village of Sancholi, action was taken against four illegal colonies spread over 11 acres. The team razed three under-construction structures, boundary walls of nine plots, and the entire road network. In village Daulha, a six-acre illegal colony was targeted, where a 100-meter-long boundary wall and the entire road network were demolished.

The operation was carried out with full police deployment to ensure it was completed peacefully and effectively.

Amit Madholi, an official of DTPE, Town Planning, said, “In future, strict action against such illegal colonies will continue. We also appeal to Citizens to verify the validity of any property with the Town and Country Planning Department before investing,” as per the report of Jagran.com.
