Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has adopted his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi's style to address the issues within his country. Ever since India launched a powerful attack on Pakistan on its terror hideouts, the Sharif-led Pakistani government has been observing PM Modi's footsteps very closely.
This time, Sharif took the opportunity to visit Pasrur Cantonment in Sialkot, where Indian Forces -- a day after PM Modi made a similar visit to the Adampur air base in Punjab morning and interacted with air force personnel, who have been in the thick of action during the recent conflict with Pakistan.

Similarly, Sharif on Wednesday interacted with officers and soldiers involved in the recent military confrontation with India. Pasrur Cantonment, Sialkot, is some 130 km from Lahore. Now, he is being trolled on social media platforms where netizens are calling it a "staged TikTok drama". Some claimed that Shehbaz Sharif's obsession with India is unreal. "Modi visits a real airbase — Shehbaz rushes to a random farm like: “Look! No damage here!” wrote a user while sharing the dramatic video of posing on "war tanks" with Army Chief General Asim Munir.

Shehbaz Sharif: Copycat Prime Minister
Interestingly, this was not the first time Sharif tried to follow India's style. When PM Modi chaired a meeting with Indian officials and announced to reconstitute the National Security Advisory Board (NSAB), appointing former Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) chief Alok Joshi as its new chairman, a similar step was also announced by Sharif.
He appointed Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim Malik, the country's new National Security Adviser (NSA). When PM Modi addressed a rally in Bihar's Darbhanga-- a day after the deadly Pahalgam attack-- he warned the Pakistani-sponsored terror group to take revenge, irrespective of where they were hiding. Similarly, he addressed a military passing out parade and followed PM Modi's speech to counter. That time too, he faced massive criticism for copying the Indian leader.
India's powerful Operation Sindoor
Operation Sindoor was launched by India on the intervening night of May 6 and 7 to avenge the killings of 26 people in the Pahalgam terror attack. Indian armed forces targeted nine terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, killing over 100 terrorists.
Pakistan then attempted to attack several Indian military bases on May 8, 9 and 10. The Indian armed forces launched a fierce counter-attack on several Pakistani military installations, including Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur and Chunian.
India's precise attack on Pakistan bases
Radar sites at Pasrur and Sialkot aviation base were also targeted using precision munitions, causing massive damage. According to the PM House, Shehbaz met with officers and soldiers who participated in the operation during the ongoing confrontation. In the coming days, the prime minister will also visit air bases and naval bases to meet officers and personnel of the Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy, it said.
Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Army Chief General Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, Federal Ministers Ahsan Iqbal and Attaullah Tarar, Corps Commander Sialkot, and senior civil and military leadership accompanied the premier on this visit. Shehbaz also addressed the officers and soldiers at Pasrur Cantonment.
