Digvijaya Singh Post Row: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has hailed Congress senior leader Sonia Gandhi's leadership amid the ongoing row over Digvijaya Singh's praise for the BJP's organisation. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Reddy stated that leaders like PV Narsimha Rao and Manmohan Singh became prime ministers under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi. He further stated that the grand old party has played an integral role in the development of modern India. The BJP leaders took a dig at the Congress top brass after Digvijaya Singh praised the saffron party's organisation; however, the former Madhya Pradesh chief minister later clarified that he continues to oppose the ideology of the RSS.

In his post, Reddy asserted that PV Narsimha Rao became the prime minister even after starting his public career in the rural parts of Telangana, adding that Gandhi also backed economist and former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. "When one reflects on the leadership of Sonia Gandhi, we find service, commitment, ethics, and values…" Reddy stated in his post.

"Under Sonia Gandhi leadership, it became possible for PV Narasimha Rao garu, who started his public career from a remote village in Telangana, to become PM. Sonia Gandhi also made an economist like Dr Manmohan Singh Prime Minister," he added.

He further stated that from the Independence movement to building democratic institutions, the grand old party has contributed to the development of modern India. "From leading India's freedom struggle to framing the Constitution, from building democratic institutions to uniting a diverse nation, the Indian National Congress has shaped every defining chapter of modern India," Reddy asserted.

Earlier on Saturday, while tagging senior Congress leaders Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Digvijaya Singh stated that even a common member in the BJP has the opportunity to hold the top posts. While the BJP stated that his post was a message to the top brass of Congress, the grand old party leaders stated that they had "nothing to learn" from the BJP.
