Heavy traffic jam on DND from Noida towards Delhi. People have parked their cars on the bridge and are seeing the floods in the Yamuna. Looks like they haven’t seen water for a while. Kindly take a note and clear the traffic. @dtptraffic

Yamuna Breaches Danger Mark: Evacuation Underway
The Yamuna river on Tuesday crossed the danger mark after the persistent release of water from the HathniKund barrage, leading to water entering homes in floodplains. The Central Water Commission (CWC) issued a flood advisory, leading to the closure of the Old Yamuna Bridge.
The District Magistrate of Shahdara issued the order to close the old Iron Bridge over the Yamuna River as the river flows above the danger mark.
After flood water entered homes in low-lying areas around the Yamuna River, especially in the Yamuna Khadar area, people are being evacuated from the affected areas and are being shifted to relief camps set up in safe locations.
