Navratri 2023: Starting from October 20, the country is set to celebrate the 10-day Hindu festival of Durga Puja with great fervour and joy. The festival marks Goddess Durga's victory over the demon king Mahishasur. The festival will conclude on the 10th day of Ashwin Shukla Paksha on October 24. While Durga Puja is most fervently celebrated in West Bengal, specially in Kolkata, Delhi too embraces the spirit of this festival every year. The streets are adorned with artistic pandals, housing crafted idols of Goddess Durga. From theme based pandals to sumptuous feasts, Delhi promises a sensory delight to both participants and spectators of the festive occasion.
We bring to you a list of top five pandals that you just can't miss.
1. Chittaranjan Park

The 'mini Bengal' of Delhi, CR Park, is renowned for its stunning pandals, cultural programmes and authentic Bengali cuisine. While a puja pandal in CR park will be a replica of the newly inaugurated Parliament building, the Mela Ground of CR park will have a Buddha-themed pandal this year.

2. Kashmere Gate Durga Puja Pandal

Presently held at the Bengali Senior Secondary School in Alipur Road, the Durga Puja pandal at the Kashmere gate is one of the oldest celebrations in the city. Starting in 1910, the pandal has already completed 100 years. The Puja committee organises multiple events throughout the days , with Dashami evening being a significant affair as they proceed towards the Yamuna for the immersion of Durga idols.

3. Kalibari, Mayur Vihar-1

With unique themes every year, the Pnadal hosts diverse cultural programs during the four day celebrations. The pandal is famous for its tasty bhog (food) which will be served between 12 to 2 pm this year.

4. Minto Road

Located in the heart of the city, the pandal has completed its 83 years, starting in 1940. Steeped in tradition, this puja earns various awards consistently. This pandal also ranks among Dlehi's oldest Durga Puja celebrations.

5. Aram Bagh Pandal

Famous for its eco-friendly pandals, the Aram Bagh Puja Samiti is another must visit in the Pandal hopping list. The pandal is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year.
