Kolkata Durga Puja Pandal Hopping: What comes to your mind when we say 'Durga Pujo' in the City of Joy? Well, when it's Kolkata, it has to be the grand pandal hopping. The Durga Puja festival starts on the sixth day of Sharad Navratri. This year, it will be observed from October 20 (Friday) to October 23 (Monday). But for the folks of Kolkata, celebrations begin on the fifth day of Navratri itself. Therefore, to give you that Pujo kick, here we have listed out the top five Durga Puja pandals in North and Central Kolkata. Shall we?

Santosh Mitra Square Durga Puja

This puja pandal in Central Kolkata always gets a place in the top ten list of Durga Puja. Always making visitors dumbstruck with its elegant themes, the committee has decided to depict Ayodhya's Ram Mandir this year. The replica of the Ram Mandir which is being built in Ayodhya has been showcased by Santosh Mitra Square pandal. So if you want to have a darshan of Ram Temple, visit this famous pandal in Natabar Dutta Row Road, Bowbazar.

Mohammad Ali Park

Another popular and one of the oldest Durga Puja in Central Kolkata is Mohammad Ali Park. This year, the Youth Association of Mohammad Ali Park brings forward a surprising theme as they depict the Kedarnath Temple located in Uttarakhand. To note, it is completing 55 years of its celebration this year.

Trikon Park

One of the iconic pandals of this year is the one with the Kantara theme and it's being depicted by none other than the Trikon Park located in North Kolkata. The theme of the pandal here is based on the popular movie Kantara by Rishab Shetty. Trikon Park has beautifully crafted the puja pandal, just like Kantara's vibrant portrayal. Thanks to all of the artists engaged in bringing the dream to life, each and every corner is stunning.

College Square Sarbojonin

One of the best Durga Pujas of North Kolkata, this year it's going for the depiction of Mysore Palace. Not only this, the pandal is also starling with unique and extravagant lighting. Whereas the budget for this Puja is around Rs 80 lakh. It is located near College Street.
