Dwarka Live-In Murder:  In a disturbing incident, body of a 26-year-old woman was found stuffed inside an almirah in a house in the Dwarka area, police said on Thursday. According to preliminary reports, the woman was living with her live-in partner Vipol Tailor in the rented accommodation, who has been named as the main suspect by the victim's father. The incident came to light when the victim's father, unable to contact her for several days, informed the police on Wednesday over a PCR call.

Following the distress call received at 10:40 pm, a team from Dabri police station rushed to the said accommodation in Dwarka's Rajapuri area.

“Upon entering the flat, the body of the woman was found in the almirah of a room. The crime scene was inspected by the crime team and FSL,” said a senior police officer as quoted by PTI.

Father suspects live-in partner killed his daughter

According to the officials, the father of the victim, who was present at the spot during the discovery of the woman's body, accused the live-in partner of his daughter, Vipul Tailor, as the 'murderer'. Police have moved the body of the woman to DDU Hospital mortuary for examination.

The victim's father also submitted that during the last call with his daughter, she told him about the abusive behaviour of Vipul, saying that he would physically assault her and that he might go as far as to murder her.

“Efforts are underway to locate the accused, Vipal Tailor, who is a native of Surat in Gujarat. Based on the statement of the complainant, a case under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against the accused,” the officer said.

The police teams also conducted scans of nearby CCTV cameras to ascertain the sequence of events, reported PTI.
