Amid the ongoing Bihar assembly elections, numerous fake and misleading videos and images are circulating on social media. In this context, a clip of Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP, is now going viral, where he is seen claiming that he doesn't suffer from any illnesses. He is believed to be in direct communion with God, speaking to Him personally.
Many users are sharing this clip, believing it to be true. Vishvas News investigated the viral clip, which proved to be edited. A portion of the original video is being edited and made viral. In fact, Rahul was not speaking for himself, but for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
What is going viral?
Facebook user 'Hindu Raj Kumar' posted a clip of Rahul Gandhi, and captioned, "He does not suffer from any disease because he has a direct connection with God."
The caption above the clip read, "I don't suffer from any disease, I talk directly to God."

Investigation
Vishvas News first conducted a keyword search to verify the viral post. Using the Google Open Search tool, we found a reel on News 24's Facebook page. Watching this reel, it became clear that Rahul was making the viral clip at an election rally in Bihar, mocking PM Modi.
In the video, Rahul Gandhi can be seen saying, "You will get the disease right there. You will get an infection on your skin. But Modi ji did a drama. He built a small pond there. You saw it, right? This is India. They will show you anything for elections. Look brother. I have a 56-inch chest. I am bathing in the Yamuna. I don't get any disease; I have a direct connection with the higher authorities. I talk directly to God. I won't get any disease in the Yamuna. Then a pipe is installed from behind. Clean water is poured into it. Then our media friends will show that Modi ji bathed in the Yamuna."
During our search, we also found the original video on ANI's X handle. Uploaded on October 29, the video shows Rahul attacking PM Modi and repeating the same lines as in the viral clip.

We found a longer version of Rahul's speech on his YouTube channel. After 35 minutes of the timeline, we found the viral clip. On October 29, at an election rally in Darbhanga, Bihar, Rahul took a dig at PM Modi by referring to the pond built in Delhi for Chhath Puja.
Vishvas News further investigated and contacted Nitin Agarwal, the national coordinator for the Congress party's social media department and digital platforms. The viral post was shared with him. He confirmed that the viral post was fake.
Lastly, we verified the Facebook user who posted the fake post and discovered that the user identifies as a resident of Jaipur, Rajasthan, and has over 2500 followers. The user is from Jaipur, Rajasthan.
Conclusion: Vishvas News investigated and found the viral post to be fake. A segment of Rahul Gandhi's speech was edited and made viral with a false claim. In fact, Rahul had spoken of a direct connection to God, taking a dig at PM Modi.
