Fact Check: A video of Rajasthan's Agriculture Minister, Dr Kirodi Lal Meena, is going viral on social media, being falsely shared as a recent incident, claiming that the public in Rajasthan is angry with the BJP government; therefore, people manhandled BJP cabinet minister Dr Meena.

Vishvas News, in its investigation, found that the viral claim is misleading. In reality, the viral video of Dr Meena is not recent but dates back to 2024, when Dr Meena left a public meeting due to low crowd turnout. This old video is now being shared with a false claim, presenting it as a recent event.

What is going viral?

Facebook user 'ITK news' shared the viral video on October 13, 2025, with the caption, "The bad days have started for BJP minister Kirodi Lal Meena in Rajasthan, the public has started demanding an account. #bjp #modi #bjpexposed #modiexposed #rajasthan #kirodilalmeena #rajasthanbjp"

Investigation

To verify the authenticity of the viral claim, we conducted a Google Reverse Image Search using relevant keyframes. This led us to a similar video on the YouTube channel @UPDATEINDIA_TV, uploaded on April 16, 2024. According to its caption: "State government cabinet minister Dr Kirodi Lal Meena got angry seeing the low number of workers, got upset, came down from the stage and returned without addressing the gathering."

We came across the video on a Facebook page named 'Jaipur.info', shared on April 17, 2024, with the caption: "Bassi: Crowd didn't gather for the public meeting in support of the BJP candidate. Dr Kirodi Lal Meena, upset over the low crowd, reprimanded BJP mandal officials. Kirodi Lal Meena left the stage."

A video on the official X handle of Rajasthan PCC, shared on April 15, 2024, stated: "BJP minister Kirodi Lal Meena, angry over the crowd not gathering in Dausa, ran away leaving the stage."

As related news published on the Live Hindustan website, on April 15, 2024, stated: "[He] became angry over the crowd not gathering at the public meeting organised in Bassi. Kirodi Lal Meena reprimanded BJP mandal officials for the low turnout and left the stage."

For further verification, we contacted Dainik Jagran's Jaipur correspondent, Narendra Sharma, who confirmed that, "This video is old. Nothing like this has happened recently."

Lastly, we scanned the Facebook page sharing the video with the false claim and found that it has over 5000 followers.

Conclusion: Vishvas News, in its investigation, found that the claim about the viral video of Kirodi Lal Meena is misleading. The video is not recent but dates back to 2024, when Dr Meena walked out of a meeting over a low turnout. The same old video is now being shared as a recent incident.
