Faridabad Terror Plot: A day after huge explosive material was recovered from Faridabad in Haryana, and several doctors, including a female doctor, were arrested, the initial probe revealed that she was assigned a task to set up the women's wing of Jaish-e-Mohammad. The Lucknow-based doctor Sheen Shahid was allegedly in touch with functionaries of the Pakistan-based terror outfit, as per sources in the Delhi police.
Dr Shaheen was reportedly in touch with Masood Azhar's sister, Sadia Azhar, who runs the women's wing of Jaish, Jamaat ul-Mominaat. Dr Shaheen was assigned the responsibility of forming a branch of Jamaat ul-Mominaat in India.
Yusuf Azhar, Sadia Azhar's husband, was the mastermind of the Kandhar Hijack and was reportedly killed during the operation Sindoor earlier this year.
Shaheen Shahid's Link With the Faridabad Terror Module
A resident of Lal Bag in UP's Lucknow, Dr Shaheen Shahid is allegedly linked with a massive explosive haul recovered from Haryana's Faridabad, just an hour's distance from Delhi.
She was arrested in connection with explosives recovered from Faridabad, as an assault rifle, and other questionable items were also recovered from her car.
Faridabad Terror Module: Al-Falah University Connection
Shaheen is associated with Al-Falah University and was connected to Kashmiri doctor Muzammil Ganaie, alias Musaib, who was arrested after 2,900 kg of explosives and inflammable material were seized from his two rented rooms in Faridabad.
A native of Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir, Muzammil worked as a doctor at Al-Falah University in Dhauj, about 45 km from Delhi. He was detained after J&K Police declared him wanted in a case involving Jaish-e-Mohammed posters put up in Srinagar.
The Questionable Car Belongs To Shaheen Shahid
The police team probing the terror plot have found a Maruti Suzuki Swift, which is registered in Faridabad (HR 51), belonging to Shaheen Shahid. The car was used to hide an assault rifle, a pistol, and live ammunition.
What Is Jamaat ul-Mominaat
A women's wing of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) was recently established under the supervision of Sadia Azhar, Masood Azhar's sister. Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) has been trying to rebuild its network, including in India, after it suffered a severe blow in Operation Sindoor.
