The greenfield expressway that will link Haryana’s Faridabad to Jewar International Airport in Uttar Pradesh is expected to be ready by June 20, 2025, Deputy Chief Minister of Hrayana Dushyant Chautala said. He gave this information in a written reply to a question raised by Congress MLA Neeraj Sharma on Tuesday.
The construction work of the Faridabad-Jewar greenfield expressway, which is being executed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), began on June 22, 2023. The expressway will have entry and exit points to the existing Kundli Ghaziabad Palwal (KGP) expressway at Mohana village, where an interchange is being developed.
The state government will also take up the proposal to construct an entry and exit junction on KGP in Mohana to connect the Faridabad-Jewar Airport expressway, as announced by the Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar.
“Entry/exit ramps are being developed on Mohana-Baghpur-Falaida Road near Haryana and UP border to facilitate the movement of the public from areas of both the states,’’ the reply said.
“Since the construction work of KGP related to NHAI, the proposal to construct entry/exit junction on KGP in Mohana of Faridabad-Jewar Airport greenfield expressway will be taken up with NHAI by the state government according to the announcement made by the chief minister,’’ Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala added in his reply.
